Announced at the recent InsidEARS event and building on the success of the 25th Anniversary celebrations, Disneyland Paris is going to expand its entertainment offerings and have announced a few events and shows to keep us going until the big work on the expansion to Walt Disney Studios arrives.
Mickey 90: Mouse Party
Mickey is 90 this year and parks all around the world are holding events to celebrate. Disneyland Paris will be no different;

From October 1 there will be a celebration of everything Mickey from additional outfits in Parades and meets to Five Giant cupcakes representing each land in Disneyland Park. Check back later for further details when we get them closer to the event.
Mickey and his PhilharMagic Orchestra
A version of the show in Walt Disney World is finally coming to Disneyland Paris and it’s transposing itself into Discoveryland Theatre which last saw a show on the 4th March 2018 when Star Wars Path of the Jedi came to an abrupt end for the theatre to be refurbished. Despite Mickey being prominent on the poster and in the name this 4D attraction actually mostly follows Donald Duck on an adventure through Disney Classics.
The 2003 show currently has a presence in Florida, Hong Kong and Tokyo so it’s nice to see Paris getting the same treatment finally even if it’s venue between Space Mountain and Star Tours doesn’t really fit in with the theme of Discoveryland.
The Lion King
Already confirmed as coming to the park in 2019, The Lion King brings we now have confirmation that the show will be located in the newly rebuilt Chaparral Theatre. The demolition of the old theatre was recently completed and the reconstruction means that the train station in frontierland is currently also closed. I’d hope to see a slight rethemeing of this part of the park to match the show if it’s going to be there for a while.
“Favoured characters such as Simba, Nala, Timon and Pumbaa, along with the iconic songs and the classic story from the film, will come to life onstage for a brand new musical production based on The Lion King”
Stay Tuned for more updates on the announced shows as and when we get them.
